VARIVAR – Dynamic PFC 8 Step 150 kVAR

The VARIVAR (480V) has been designed to meet the power quality and energy conservation needs of the industrial sector and provides Power Factor Correction, Sag Mitigation, and Optional Harmonic Filtration, in addition to Peak KVAR shaving and I2R kWh conservation.

The VARIVAR has been tuned for up to 500kW with an average operational amperage of between 200A and 400A on one transformer load with a dynamic 150kVAR in 8 steps. Higher average operational amperages may require additional units. Additional transformer loads may require additional units. ACTIVE HARMONIC FILTER – 480V

Based on our comprehensive diagnostic power quality field survey, Basic Power custom-tunes this AHF filter. We record all the harmonic waveforms present in your electrical system and then simulate these in our NHR 96KW Load Bank and tune the filter to mitigate the harmonics to <3% THD (Below 50th Harmonic). This AHF is ideal for clinical and data environments that require maximum reduction of electrical noise. Basic Power then commissions the AHF on-site and performs an IPMVP Compliant Post- Installation Analysis and written report.
